Meet Reverend Peter Popoff & His Family...

Born of Bulgarian-German descent in East Berlin, during the Red reign of terror on religious institutions after the war, Peter and his family escaped to the United States where he preached his first sermon at age nine and conducted his first crusade at age 14.

Upon graduation from the University of California, Peter met and married Elizabeth. Together they embarked upon almost 30 years of successful ministry. They have been married for nearly 40 years, and have three children --Amy, Nickolas and Alex.

Peter and Elizabeth have ministered in over forty countries. Initially the main focus of Peter’s ministry was to aid the underground church behind the Iron and Bamboo Curtains. He spearheaded a massive Bible smuggling crusade that successfully penetrated the Iron Curtain and sparked a revival that continues to this day. On over 100 radio stations daily, he reminded believers in the West that our persecuted brethren needed our prayers, and that we could not forget the part of Christ’s body that was bleeding and suffering for its faith.

In the early 1980s, he began to utilize the medium of television to spread his message and his ministry to more people.. Television became the most effective medium to carry his message in North America. Today, through satellites, he is reaching people in nations around the world. Millions each week witness and experience the transforming and miracle-working power of the living Jesus Christ. Multiple thousands have turned to Christ weekly as, Peter carries the message of Jesus Christ and super living to millions here in America and around the world.
